You might be worried about finding a decent package that doesn’t cost a fortune. Luckily, there are plenty of affordable homeschool curriculum packages that provide quality educational tools for you and your child.

To make your life easier, we’ve gathered our top picks in one place and even did some research for you. Here we go!

Best Affordable Homeschool Curriculum Packages

Here are some of the best (and affordable) homeschool packages you can find!

Mastery Genius

Mastery Genius offers a reputable and adaptive learning program. Unlike mass education, Mastery Genius is built around the individuality of each student.

Mastery Genius uses two software programs to provide your child with exactly what they need. You’re probably wondering how it works.

First, your child starts by taking NWEA’s MAP growth assessment test. This is a test that’s used to find out your child’s academic level. It’s an adaptive test that gives students harder questions if they keep answering correctly. When they start making mistakes, the level of difficulty lowers gradually until the system is able to pinpoint the student’s exact level.

The result takes the form of RIT score, which is basically a number that shows the level of your child. The RIT score is then used by a software called Pathblazer, which customizes a curriculum that fits your child’s specific needs.

The curriculum features level-based materials your child hasn’t mastered yet based on their test results. This means that your child won’t have to study something they already know because of a set curriculum, they’ll only be focusing on new material they haven’t yet learned.

Once the curriculum is provided, students use the instructional videos, new lessons, and guided and individual practices before they take quizzes. Only when they demonstrate mastery in these quizzes do they move on to the following lesson.

Once they’ve finished their provided curriculum, a new one is generated after they retake the MAP test starting at where they left off the previous time. This allows you to track your child’s growth.

This program is highly affordable. At $30 a month, this is a great affordable homeschool curriculum package.

What We Like

  • Each student gets exactly what he/she needs
  • Differentiated instruction is well applied
  • No grading system

K12 offers you the chance to enroll your child in one of the public schools associated with them and homeschool them online using their provided curriculum. The online curriculum features hands-on activities and more.

Upgrading is also an option with K12. You can upgrade to a tuition-based online private school. If you want do do the actual teaching, you can that as well! There are tuition-based independent courses available. Available classes include math, language arts, science, history, art, and music courses.

What We Like

  • Students can take their time in lessons they don’t get right away

Fun activities and rewards are incorporated into the system to make the learning experience much more fun for your child!

The vast topics available on this website aren’t easy to come by in other homeschool packages. Other than the typical math, science, grammar, and social studies, topics include health and medicine, electrical engineering, computing, and economics and finance.
