The number of homeschool curricula out there is astounding! It’s becoming harder and harder to choose one. If this is your first time looking into homeschooling, you’re probably feeling overwhelmed. Don’t worry! We’ve reviewed the homeschool curriculum packages out there to save you time and stress.

Let’s take a look at the best homeschool curriculum packages out there!

Mastery Genius – Best Adaptive Learning

Mastery Genius is a homeschool software that adapts to students’ needs and teaches them accordingly.

NWEA’s MAP Growth assessment is the starting point of this program. Students take the MAP test to determine their academic level in different areas. The test gets harder when students answer correctly and easier when they make mistakes until their level of mastery is determined.

Grades are not a part of this program. The point of MAP is to determine the student’s level of mastery, not to judge their performance. RIT score is the “result” of this test. The RIT score tells us what students have mastered and what they still need to work on.

The RIT score is then entered into Pathblazer. Pathblazer is a software that creates a curriculum for your child that’s based solely on the student’s unique levels of mastery. A student’s curriculum can include material taught in two separate grades at if it’s what they need. Pathblazer’s only priority is the student’s fields of weakness.

Once the curriculum is set, instructional videos, practice materials, and quizzes are used until the student fully grasps the concept. Once they perform well in quizzes, it’s time for the next lesson. If your child doesn’t understand a lesson very well, they won’t move on to the next until they have actually mastered the concept from that lesson.

When students finish the curriculum, they take the MAP test once more. Once again, a new curriculum is generated, and the process begins again.

It works on improving your child’s abilities, not highlighting their disabilities. Plus, the price can’t be beat!
